Request to Release or Transfer District Cellphone Service

Summary

This is the procedure to follow when a user is leaving the company and wants to keep the number assigned to them. This will release the number from Samtrans responsibility and transfer to the the requesting user.

Open a ticket with Support.  https://servicedesk.smctd.com/TDClient/129/Portal/Home/?ToUrl=

 

Support will call Verizon at 800-922-0204 as a Samtrans POC and ask to release the number in question. 

The user requesting the transfer will then be notified to call 800-922-0204 and ask for the number to be transferred to a personal Verizon account or another vendor.

If this is going to be a new personal Verizon account the user will undergo a credit check.
