VPN Access Request

Description/What is it?

Do you need to request VPN access to Central Network?

All new users and those who have not accessed the VPN service will need to click on "Request Service" on the right hand side.

The Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN client is available on Windows 10/11 and Mac OS which is used to connect to Central network drives and use remote desktop. 

How to request service?

This service is requested through the Service Desk. Requests can be made by clicking the Request button to the right.

Download and Install the Global Protect Agent for Windows

Before connecting to the Global Protect network, you must download and install the agent on your endpoint.

Step 1 Log in to the Global Protect portal.

1. Launch a web browser and go to the following URL: https://connect.samtrans.com
2. On the portal login page, enter your Samtrans district username and Password and then Login.

Step 2. Download the agent.

1. Click the link that corresponds to the operating system that is running on your computer to begin the download. If you are not sure whether the operating system is 32‐bit or 64‐bit, ask your system administrator before you proceed.  
2. When prompted, Run the software.
3. When prompted again, Run the Global Protect Setup Wizard.

Step 3. Complete the Global Protect agent setup.

1. In the Global Protect Setup Wizard, click Next.
2. Click Next to accept the default installation folder

(C:\Program Files\Palo Alto Networks\Global Protect) or Browse to a new location and then click Next twice.

       3. After the installation finishes, Close the wizard.

The Global Protect agent starts automatically.

Step 4. Log in to Global Protect.

1. Right‐click the Global Protect system tray icon ( ) in the system tray and select Show Panel to log in to Global Protect

       2. On the Home tab, enter login.samtrans.com of the Portal

      3. Enter your SamTrans District Username and Password and click Connect. If authentication is successful, It will show you are CONNECTED. Now you are connecting to Samtrans            network through VPN .
