Description/What is it?
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that uses two or more distinct mechanisms to validate a user’s identity, rather than relying on just a simple username and password combination. MFA helps prevent unauthorized access to applications and sensitive data.
How to request service?
This service is requested through the Service Desk. Requests can be made by clicking the Request button to the right.

1. Open a browser and go to: https://office.com

2. Enter you SamTrans email address and click Next

3. Enter your email password and click Sign In.

4. At the next window, click Next.

5. To begin the Authenticator process, click Next.

6. After you install the app on your phone, click Next.

7. On your phone open Authenticator app and click the + in the upper right-hand corner.

8. Select Work or School account.

9. Click “Scan QR Code”.

10. Scan the QR code displayed on your computer.

11. Alternatively, you can select another method by selecting I want to set up a different method.

12. Select an alternative method from the pulldown menu.

13. You will be prompted for more information.

14. After confirming, you will receive verification on your secondary device.
